The North Pacific Killer Whale Behaviors field guide includes illustrations and descriptions of all fifteen common behaviors of the Southern Resident killer whales, Northern Resident killer whales, and the transient killer whales (Orcinius orca). Breaching, backdiving, pec-slapping, and lobtailing are only a few of these behaviors. The North Pacific killer whale behaviors guide also includes annotated, detailed illustrations of orca anatomy.
Both the California Coast Marine Mammals field guide and the North Pacific Marine Mammals field guide contain illustrations and descriptions of all the cetaceans (whales & dolphins) you might see, including pelagic (deep offshore) dolphins. The second side of the guides also include seals, sea lions, and otters. The North Pacific marine mammals guide is designed for whale watching along the entire North Pacific coast from Oregon through Washington and British Columbia to the wildlife rich waters of Alaska.
